What is a Science Center?
Science centers are centers that aim to make science and technology understandable and accessible to society and to increase the importance of science and technology in the eyes of society by bringing together individuals from different age groups and with different knowledge bases with science; they include experimental and hands-on activities and encourage visitors to experiment and explore.
Unlike the classical museum concept, which consists of objects displayed behind glass cases in quiet environments and forbidden to be touched, science centers offer visitors exhibitions and dynamic environments where they can actively explore, touch and experiment.
